Water Services Management (Legionnaires Bacteria Control)

SCOPE OF WORKS

This framework covers the various requirements of EEM members regarding water service management, including Legionella bacteria control.

Risk Assessments
A suitable and sufficient assessment must be carried out to identify and assess the risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria from work activities and water systems on premises and identify any precautionary measures needed.
Legionella Sampling and Analysis
Manage the process for Legionella sampling and analysis which covers: advising number of locations for water sampling; carry out drawing and bottling of sample, deliver to UKAS accredited laboratory for testing; and report and provide recommendations based on results.
Attendance at Management Meetings
Attendance at monthly management meetings to cover the member’s portfolio to identify condition and non-conformity and provide statistical analysis of results. Contact details are provided and maintained to ensure 365 day 24 hour consultancy.
Record Keeping
Provision of a water management logbook at each location within the portfolio and provide online record keeping.
Site Service Visits
Carry out the specified tasks for monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual site service checks.
Training
Provide Legionella training for up to 20 non-technical personnel.

CALL-OFF OPTIONS
This framework is available for either a direct call-off or mini competition. For a direct call-off we can make contact with your preferred Contractor and arrange for you to meet with them to discuss the opportunity.

If you wanted to re-open the competition (mini competition), then we would send out the initial expression of interest to all applicable Contractors and then you have the choice to either manage the tender process yourself or we can manage it for you.

  • Ongoing Support – Members will have ongoing support during the call off contract from both the EEM Procurement Team and Projects Officer. We can attend kick start meetings, review meetings and assist with the completion of the contract documentation.
  • Competitive Pricing – All pricing is fixed for the first agreed period of the Framework and where possible fixed from April to March each year to give certainty within each financial year period. EEM will manage and negotiate all price increases to ensure fair application across our Members
