On Saturday 22nd June 2024, several members of the EEM Team tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with immense effort and determination!
The 24 mile (5,200ft ascent) challenge was relentless and took an incredible amount of physical and mental effort for everyone involved.
The challenge was accepted to help raise money for the EEM Charity of the Year, ANDYSMANCLUB, to help support their goal in ending the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. The fundraising total currently stands at £4,241.25. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.
Carl Blakemore, EEM Supply Chain Manager commented:
They don't call it the "Three Peaks Challenge" without good reason. After a gap of 15 years, I returned in the hope that the mountains (peaks don't do them justice) may have worn down a little. No such luck!
Eleven hours and forty-three minutes of pure torture, elation, and new friendships later, I completed the event. So proud of the EEM team and our achievement to raise money for ANDYSMANCLUB.
Note to self: learn to say no or train for the next one!
A huge well done to Shannon Brown, Rowena Jones, Rosie Maltby, Carl Blakemore, Molly Grice and Sophia Cox for giving it 100% every step of the way for such a great cause.
