I have worked in the Public Sector procurement for 20 years. Since joining EEM in 2014 I have seen the business grow from 22 members to where we are today with 278 members. My focus now for EEM is to lead the business in our continued growth whilst ensuring that we meet and exceed member expectations and remain true to our core aim of achieving best value and efficiencies through intelligent procurement.

I joined EEM in 2023 after working for local government for over 8 years working in various roles including Procurement and Contracts Management. As an Assistant Procurement Officer within EEM I support members in undertaking mini competitions, ensuring value for money is achieved and regulations are adhered to. I also assist in developing new DPS's and Frameworks for our members to use. I'm excited to work alongside such a hardworking and knowledgeable team whilst developing my experience in Procurement.

I have worked in a variety of sectors including Healthcare, Transport & Aerospace, from being heavily involved with both customers and business contracts, to planning works within an operations team. Procurement is new to me, but is something I am excited to evolve in. In all my roles I have Excelled at Excel (and other data applications) for data interpretation, analysis and management. Having joined EEM in February 2016 I have brought this insight to support our members, contractors and the EEM team to identify savings and efficiencies in the materials, services and work we do.

My role at EEM as the Pricing and Data Officer is to ensure reviews, accuracy, and support in all areas. The main parts of my role involves the monthly maintaining of contractor and material price files, monitoring changes between files, and producing spend data reports for our members, contractors, and manufacturers. I also build relationships with our contractors buying through our supply chain to ensure continued support and management to deliver best price.

Chris Lambert
I've been lucky to gain extensive experience in Local Authority housing, having worked for a number of City and District Councils, including Head of Housing with North West Leicestershire District Council, and a Board Member of Leicestershire Rural Housing Association.

Shaun Bennett
I began my career as a Joiner at a local building firm, later becoming a building surveyor at Derby City Council in my early 20s. Highlights of my work include implementing the decent homes standard and constructing some of Derby's initial new council houses. I played a role in advocating for HRA reforms, contributing to the nationwide development of the next generation of Council homes. I have a passion for the environment and have led on numerous initiatives to help reduce fuel poverty. As an advocate for collaborative working I encouraged organisations to work together, and EEM was formed soon after this.

Mario Preite CMIOSH
Following over 25 years in the public sector undertaking Building Surveying and Construction Project management roles in a number of sectors, including social housing, I moved to the NHS and focused on Health & Safety, becoming a Chartered Practitioner with IOSH. I am currently the head of Health & Safety for the Estates & Facilities Division in a large NHS Trust, as a Health & Safety Quality Manager, I have a passion for risk management, health, safety, and well-being of staff and ensuring that EEM develops and grow with these as some of its key drivers.
